Topic: Lyngbya – What is it? What causes it? Why should I be Concerned?
Guest Speakers: Greg Savige, Local Commercial Fisherman and Andrew Evans, Environmental Officer, MBRC
We will be hearing about the long term research Greg Savige (local commercial fisherman) has accumulated on Lyngbya. Also, we will have a representative from the Environment Dept at Council who will tell us how council has prepared for Lyngbya outbreaks.
This is an important issue about the health of Bribie Island’s beaches and the waters of the Pumicestone Passage.
